Salmon is a great and versatile fish. This steamed Salmon recipe takes inspiration from Asia and marinates the salmon fillets in ginger, lemongrass, sesame oil, chilli, soy and Turmeric Active, sounds great right? It is indeed, and also quick and easy to prepare. Give it a try for yourself.

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups water
  • 2 salmon portions, skin off
  • 2cm piece fresh ginger, peeled & grated finely
  • 5cm piece lemongrass, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce
  • ½ lime, zested and juiced
  • ½ teaspoon sesame oil
  • ¼ cup sweet chilli sauce
  • ¼ teaspoon sesame oil
  • Splash soy sauce
  • ¼ scoop Turmeric Active

Instructions:

  • Place the ginger, lime zest & juice, lemongrass, Turmeric Active and sesame oil in a small bowl or food processor and process until a smooth paste is formed. (Alternatively, use a mortar and pestle).
  • Spread the paste over each salmon portion and place onto a square of baking paper.
  • Fill cooking pot with water. Place salmon and baking paper in steamer and place steamer on top of cooking pot with water.
  • Cover and place the unit in the microwave for 5-8 minutes or until salmon is cooked the way you like it.
